LogPay also accepts fuel cards from BP/Aral.
LogPay is expanding its service station network and fuel card acceptance. Therefore, the company acts as a "network aggregator" and combines various service station providers into a single fuel card. In January 2017, Volkswagen Financial Services AG acquired 51 percent of the company's shares in LogPay Transport Services.
The LogPay acceptance network grows with the expansion by Aral to around 6,000 service stations in Germany. Europe-wide, customers will be able to refuel at over 12,000 service stations with the LogPay Card in the future. Later this year, this will also be possible at BP service stations in Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Poland, and the Netherlands. "In principle, we see ourselves as a cross-brand provider of fuel and toll solutions for customers in Germany and Europe. We will also adhere to this philosophy. In addition, we will expand LogPay Transport Services as a competence center for the refueling business within the Volkswagen Group," says Jens Thorwarth, Managing Director of LogPay Transport Services GmbH.
What does this mean?
With the possibility of offering all service station networks through a single fuel card, LogPay makes its offer even more attractive, especially since Aral has one of the densest networks in Germany. In this context, a combination with charging stations will certainly make sense in the future.
