Kia EV6 available with taxi or rental car package
Following the Jaguar I-Pace and the Polestar 2, the Kia EV6 is another sedan arriving on the scene, which could serve as a replacement for a diesel-driven E-Class due to its space and range. Kia dealers can now order a taxi or rental package for the EV6 through the "extended workbench" INTAX in Oldenburg. The prices for both configurations are, as with other Kia models, 1,200 euros (prices excluding VAT) with wrapping and 600 euros without it. These subsidized prices indicate that Kia wants to establish contact with the taxi and rental car industry.
For this money, you can either get the pre-installation for a mirror taximeter or a mirror distance meter, or a console in the center console for mounting a conventional device. Devices from Kienzle and HALE can be mounted there. Semitron is not mentioned in INTAX's customer information. If you are using a radio, you can get a radio pre-installation in the center console. If the standard seat covers are too sensitive for you, they can be fitted with synthetic leather, leather, or partial leather covers in Oldenburg. The Oldenburgers point out that you cannot order the EV6 as a taxi with the outward-opening glass sunroof. It would collide with the taxi roof sign when opening.
