Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is available to order
The Grand Cherokee 4xe can be pre-ordered in Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands starting now – albeit initially only in an "Exclusive Launch Edition". Interested parties can register on a website set up for the launch until March 30, 2022. Optionally, you can also choose to be contacted as soon as the vehicle is available at Jeep dealerships. Jeep has not yet announced prices for the special model – however, it will be significantly more expensive than the base versions that will be released later.
Extensive equipment, but no exact prices yet
Because the "Exclusive Launch Edition" comes fully equipped, standard with high-tech accessories and driver assistance systems as well as a Mode 3 cable for charging at public charging stations. Additionally, the launch package includes a vehicle cover with a 4xe logo and a cable reel, as well as the privileges of the Jeep WAVE customer support program for four years, including the first four routine maintenance services free of charge for the customer.
Furthermore, there is extensive standard equipment with polished 21-inch alloy wheels and a diamond black-painted roof. Inside, there are walnut accents and Palermo leather door and seat coverings. The driver and front passenger seats can be electrically adjusted in 16 ways, are equipped with lumbar support and memory function, and also offer a massage function integrated into the backrest. The rear seats are also heated and ventilated. Comfort is also provided by the new four-zone climate control system, a new center console with a wireless charging system and screens with a 25.4 cm diagonal for the digital instrument cluster and radio touchscreen, as well as a 26 cm screen diagonal for the interactive passenger display.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Exclusive Launch Edition also offers the 950-watt McIntosh sound system with 19 speakers. It is one of the best in the world and uses the same technology as McIntosh home systems.
What does this mean?
In the USA, the Grand Cherokee was the tenth best-selling car overall in 2021 with 254,445 registrations! Here, significantly fewer customers are likely to opt for the "Grand", which is not only large and expensive but also offers only 40 km of electric range – and thus is not subsidized. Diesel or V8 for fans? Not planned!
