Jaguar: Electric High-Performance GT Announced

Jaguar is preparing the launch of three new models, the first of which is expected to be the electric four-door Grand Tourismo. The GT is set to be unveiled later this year and will be delivered starting in 2025. The British premium brand has now released a teaser image and some preliminary specifications that reveal details about the new platform, performance, and estimated range. After Jaguar announced that the GT would be the most powerful Jaguar ever, the electric vehicle must surpass the 575 HP of the previously most powerful engine, the supercharged V-8 gasoline engine. The Brits indicate a range of 430 miles – approximately 700 kilometers.

Enormous Investments for the Transformation of Production Facilities

The high-performance electric vehicle is part of Jaguar Land Rover's £15 billion (approximately €17 billion) investment in electrification over the next five years. The company is transforming many of its production facilities and also plans to introduce a range of mid-sized luxury SUVs from the Land Rover and Range Rover brands, which will be based on a new, all-electric platform called Electric Modular Architecture (EMA).
