The International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) is making a comeback as part of the E-Mobility Fair Fully Charged LIVE and will open on November 24, 2023, from 10 AM at the RAI exhibition grounds in Amsterdam. This year’s ICBF will feature over 60 pedal-powered brands from around the world, with a test track and an international lecture program. Additionally, the ICBF will introduce its new cargo bike magazine, Carrier.

By collaborating with Fully Charged LIVE Europe, the International Cargo Bike Festival is breaking new ground and aligning with the general trend of electrifying the mobility sector. In doing so, ICBF is explicitly targeting a broader audience, including both professionals and consumers. Fully Charged LIVE primarily focuses on the consumer market, concentrating on electric vehicles and clean energy. For Fully Charged, the collaboration with ICBF is a great opportunity to integrate the bicycle and cargo bike industry into their event, according to the organizer.

Renowned Pedelec Manufacturers Also Represented

In addition to the cargo bike manufacturers, e-bike and other manufacturers from the velomobile sector will also participate, including Tenways, byAr, GoCycle, Lemmo, EBKE, and Brekr. The exhibition area is well-filled with over 60 represented brands. Alongside well-known Dutch manufacturers such as Fulpra, Cargo Cycling, and Bakfiets.nl, many international exhibitors are also present. Companies from China and Taiwan have registered, and in addition to the usual players from Europe, the first Indian cargo bike manufacturer, RevolGo, will be represented at ICBF. A delegation of four companies from Italy will exhibit together in the Italian pavilion, and another first comes from Hungary: the cargo bike manufacturer Mastiff.

Many Companies Target the Growing Cargo Bike Market

It's notable that many of the participants are companies specifically focused on the growing cargo bike market. These include manufacturers of specific components, electric motors, batteries, gear systems, software developers, printers for (cargo) bikes, and the like.

The ICBF will also introduce Issue 1 of its new cargo bike magazine: Carrier. With stories, reports, and photos from around the world, ICBF aims to use Carrier to show why they believe the cargo bike deserves to become mainstream by the end of the decade, dubbing it the #DecadeoftheCargoBike.

Theme Days for Sustainable Mobility

In addition, the ICBF will also welcome the Dutch Cycling Embassy (DCE) - participating with several members - and the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO) not only as exhibitors but also as speakers. The RVO, together with ROM Utrecht, Amsterdam Trade & Innovate, and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, will organize the first day of their annual International Theme Days for Sustainable Mobility at the ICBF.

During the lecture program, several national and international initiatives and studies will also be presented. Organizations from the bicycle logistics industry from Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy will come together at the ICBF to discuss developments and cooperation in bicycle logistics. They will speak alongside speakers from Ghana, Ukraine, the USA, and India.
