IAA MOBILITY Registration Start: Campaign and New Slogan Aim to Boost Trade Fair
With a new claim and initial commitments from key automotive, cycling, and tech companies, IAA MOBILITY is kicking off its third edition in Munich: from September 9 to 14, 2025, the fair aims to intensify dialogue with stakeholders from business, media, politics, and society. By focusing on forward-looking solutions such as electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and innovative traffic concepts, it also underscores its leading role in shaping the future of mobility, according to the organizer VDA.
For the 2025 edition, leading companies – including BMW, Clarios, Continental, Google, Hitachi Astemo Europe GmbH, Mercedes-Benz, myStromer AG, Porsche, Riese & Müller GmbH, Robert Bosch, the Volkswagen Group, the Volkswagen brand, and the ZF Group – have confirmed their participation to specifically showcase their pioneering innovations. Following the last fair, three out of four exhibitors stated that they were able to reach their target groups well to very well, which demonstrates the added value from the organizer's perspective. 81 percent of exhibitors rated their company's success at the show as good to excellent.
“IAA MOBILITY 2023 convincingly demonstrated that the industry is tackling current challenges with innovations and new products. We are therefore pleased that leading companies from all areas of mobility have already clearly signaled their participation in the upcoming IAA MOBILITY before the official registration start. This clearly underscores the value and importance of this unique global event concept and the status of IAA MOBILITY as a leading platform for mobility, sustainability, and technology,” says VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel.
“The participation confirmations from the various areas of mobility prove that the transformation from a classic car show to a comprehensive mobility platform in its thematic diversity is also being accepted and supported by exhibitors,” says Tobias Gröber, Division Manager of Messe München. The organizer points to over half a million visitors. The satisfaction of the exhibitors is reflected in the ratings: nine out of ten exhibitors rated the 2023 edition as positive for their company and 95 percent would recommend the mobility platform to business partners. These results prompted 91 percent of exhibitors to state that they would exhibit again in 2025.
The new claim “It’s All About MOBILITY” is intended to emphasize the transformation of the renowned IAA brand from a classic car show to a comprehensive mobility platform and includes a wide variety of themes – from innovative vehicle technologies with 2 to 4 wheels, infrastructure solutions to software developments and new mobility trends.
Exhibitor Campaign Boosts Registrations
With the campaign, the organizer aims to push registrations. In particular, they want to address the tech industry and the topic of sustainability, as most innovations regarding future mobility are expected to take place in these two areas. The main themes of the IAA Summit at Messe München focus on four B2B priority topics: Mobility, Technology, Sustainability, and Smart Infrastructure. The event concept is considered unique worldwide. It offers ample space to showcase the exhibitors' innovative strength while simultaneously promoting social exchange and is firmly committed to significantly shaping the path towards climate-friendly mobility.
The spatial and thematic separation of the two target groups, B2B and B2C, has proven itself and remains the core concept of the 2025 edition: The exhibition areas of IAA Open Space in downtown Munich and the test drives of IAA Experience address the general public and are free for all visitors. The IAA Summit, including the IAA Conference, focuses exclusively on trade visitors and journalists and takes place at the Munich exhibition center.
