IAA Mobility 2023: Discussion with Zukunft Fahrrad on sustainable mobility

Exciting finale at the IAA Summit in Munich: Representatives from the automotive industry, cycling, and public transport debate how the future of mobility can be shaped. The transformation of mobility is coming, it is already happening: large and small municipalities have long since switched and are aligning their traffic planning with the needs of the general population and the sustainability goals for the transport sector. Cost-effective and efficient, particularly as enabled through the combination of bicycles, trains, and sharing options. The bicycle industry is taking the lead, claims the industry association Zukunft Fahrrad.

"We have the solutions that others are still looking for. Our vehicles are electric and are now the right means for 70 percent of everyday routes. E-bikes are conquering the market on their own merit and also hold considerable potential for economic growth and new jobs. What we lack is to be appropriately included politically, and above all a fair offer in the form of space and safe paths so that our customers can ride happily everywhere. Cars are still allocated disproportionately much space," criticized Wasilis von Rauch, managing director of Zukunft Fahrrad. And he already posed a catchy thesis for the debate, which will also be broadcast live.
