Hyundai Motor has announced the prices for the new Kona Electric and Kona Hybrid. The part-time electric Kona Hybrid, which is expected to achieve a combined consumption of 4.3 l/100 km and thereby emit 99 g/km of CO2, starts at 26,900 euros. For the battery-electric version Kona Electric with a 39.2 kWh high-performance battery and 100 kW motor, which is expected to consume 14.3 kWh/100 km, the list starts at 35,650 euros, while the 64 kWh variant with a 150 kW machine starts at 41,850 euros, each including 19 percent VAT. Besides the sharpened design, which enhances the electric version with a more harmonious and closed grille, the hybrid with a higher-quality grid grille, and both with slimmer LED headlights, the Kona Electric now comes standard with a 10.25-inch central display in the cockpit, featuring modern technology. For the Hybrid, this feature is standard starting from the second-highest equipment level, Trend.

Standard in the electric vehicle also includes a lane-following assistant, a rear-view camera, a keyless smart key system with start/stop button, and smartphone connectivity functions with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The basic equipment can be further enhanced with packages. The Select package then includes a rear parking assist, a heated leather steering wheel, an adaptive cruise control system with distance control and stop function, and a cyclist detection system for the front collision warning. The Trend package for the BEV, among other things, includes a Type 2 charging cable, a heat pump, ambient interior lighting, and full LED headlights with high beam assist as special standard features. The electric vehicle with a Prime package offers additional extras such as a 10.25-inch radio navigation system, Bluelink telematics system, head-up display, and an active blind-spot assistant. Further customization is possible, for instance, with the roof paint in Phantom Black or Chalk White through the navigation package or with the highly recommended 3-phase 11 kW fast charger, which, however, is standard with the 64 kWh battery.
