Hyundai guarantees environmental bonus
The Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai is responding to the announcement of the end of subsidies for plug-in hybrids and the new regulations on BEV subsidies by guaranteeing private customers the environmental bonus if they sign a binding purchase contract with a contractual partner in a timely manner. The guarantee is valid for the Hyundai IONIQ 5 until April 30, for the Tucson Plug-in Hybrid until May 31, and for the Kona Electric, the IONIQ Electric, and the Santa Fe as a plug-in hybrid until June 30, 2022.
"Planning security and rapid availability are important purchasing arguments for the customer in view of the expiring environmental bonus for plug-in hybrids (PHEV) at the end of the year and the uncertainty about how the environmental bonus for battery electric vehicles (BEV) will continue in 2023," argues the manufacturer.
For the environmental bonus to be paid out at the current full amount, the vehicles must be delivered, registered by December 31, 2022 and the BAFA application must be correctly submitted.
"Thanks to our short production and delivery routes, we can guarantee that electric cars and plug-in vehicles purchased now or soon under our promise will be delivered to customers by the end of the year," explains Jürgen Keller, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Deutschland.
He points to what he considers "prudent company logistics," which allows the company to fulfill the continuously increasing customer demand for alternative drives as quickly as possible, Keller continues.
Short delivery time for Kona Electric thanks to the plant in the Czech Republic
For the compact SUV Kona Electric, Hyundai offers private customers a delivery guarantee until December 31, 2022, if the electrically powered compact SUV is purchased by June 30, 2022. The short delivery times for the e-SUV are also due to the fact that the electric car is manufactured in Hyundai's Nošovice plant in the Czech Republic, making the route to Germany correspondingly short.
IONIQ 5 with full environmental bonus of over 9,570 euros
A purchase order by April 30, 2022 guarantees the private customer that an IONIQ 5 will be delivered by the end of the year, allowing the buyer to receive the full innovation bonus from BAFA and Hyundai manufacturer share of over 9,570 euros. This starts the E-CUV at 32,330 euros. An overall vehicle warranty of eight years with no mileage limit as well as an eight-year warranty on the high-voltage battery up to 160,000 kilometers also reduces the financial risk for customers.
