The car subscription service launched by Hyundai Motor Deutschland in cooperation with ViveLaCar appears to be well-received. In just one month, around 140 Hyundai dealers have decided to go with the subscription model. This allows them to offer their customers the possibility of subscribing to a vehicle without a minimum term and with just three months' notice. The monthly rate covers all costs except for refueling or charging. The base model, such as a Hyundai i10, starts at around 190 euros per month. According to Hyundai, it is the first importer to offer a brand subscription including the selective distribution network in Germany and sees this as a strengthening of its trade. After the launch in Austria in May this year, the introduction in Germany was another step in the cooperation between the Koreans and ViveLaCar.

The portfolio ranges from the small car i10, the new Hyundai i20, the i30 models, and the comprehensive SUV range to the eco-friendly vehicles with alternative drives, such as the Kona Electric or the Ioniq - available for flexible use with the subscription.

"Our partners have recognized the opportunities the new car subscription in cooperation with ViveLaCar offers them and have been using it very actively from the beginning. Meanwhile, we have had up to 170 vehicles available for subscription at times," says Holger Müller, Director of Sales at Hyundai Motor Deutschland.

Although it has only been a few days since the launch, subscriptions for around 60 vehicles have already been completed. Great potential is seen here. The concept in cooperation turns the dealer into a subscription provider, who can offer like-new vehicles from the dealer's stock on the platform with minimal effort and no additional costs. This gives dealers a fourth sales channel alongside cash purchase, leasing, and financing, as well as the ability to convert standing costs into a demand-oriented offering and thus into revenue, and to excite entirely new target groups for the brand. The subscription can be terminated at any time with a three-month notice period.
