The Gersthofen-based bodywork specialist Humbaur has introduced a new version of its heavy-duty e-cargo bike, once again developed in collaboration with the Upper Palatinate manufacturer BAYK. The three-wheeled, electrically assisted FlexBike differs from the 2019 debut model Type Bring S with a lower step-through and is combined with a Flex series box structure. The pedelec offers a payload of 270 kg (including the rider) and space for up to 1.5 m³ of cargo. This makes it a genuinely attractive alternative for many courier, express, and package delivery companies, providing an environmentally friendly and flexible transport solution, according to the manufacturer. It often progresses faster than a car or van, finding parking is significantly easier, and neither a driver's license nor insurance plates are required. This also simplifies the search for suitable riders. Furthermore, the bike can be operated anywhere bicycles are allowed, making it ideal for use in downtown or pedestrian zones, according to the manufacturer.

The aim in developing the latest variant was to create a practical design, reflected in various details alongside equipment and payload. The driver is supported by a dual motor drive system with a maximum torque of 222 Nm. For easier loading and unloading of the cargo area, a single-wing door is installed at the rear, with the optional roll-up door on the right side of the cargo box providing quicker access. Optionally, there is a Track/Protect system including an app designed to help fleet managers keep an eye on the vehicles and track the bike via the app in case of theft.
