Ford: Mustang Mach-E GT available to order online from 72,900 euros
The automobile manufacturer Ford is launching the sale of the top model of its fully electric Mustang Mach-E series and is making the GT version available for online order at a starting price of 72,900 euros. Deliveries are expected to begin later this year. The GT is the most powerful version of the all-electric series and surpasses the torque of all previous production models that Ford has offered in Europe. With 860 Nm, it should sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
Since the net list price of the base version is cited by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) for the environmental bonus, the GT is also eligible for the subsidy according to the directive for promoting the sale of electrically powered vehicles (environmental bonus) dated October 21, 2020.
Special tires, special equipment
Propulsion is provided by two AC synchronous electric motors with a total output of 387 kW and standard all-wheel drive. The adaptive MagneRide suspension and high-performance brakes from racing specialist Brembo are intended to ensure high agility. A special calibration of the drivetrain allocates a larger portion of the motor's torque to the rear wheels compared to other Mach-E all-wheel-drive versions, supported by specially developed tires that bring the high torque to the road. Special features such as Ford Performance sports seats, standard 20-inch alloy wheels, exclusive body colors Cyber Orange or Atoll Blue Metallic, and special design elements visually distinguish the Mustang Mach-E GT from the more "civilian" versions of the electric SUV.
Up to 500 kilometers range - depending on driving style ...
The "Extended Range" battery has a usable capacity of 88 kilowatt-hours (kWh), gross 98.7 kWh, which should enable a range of up to 500 kilometers in the combined WLTP cycle. At a fast-charging station with up to 150 kW charging power, the electric crossover SUV can "refuel" enough energy for another 99 kilometers in ten minutes. It takes only 45 minutes to charge from ten to 80 percent of the battery's storage capacity. The FordPass Charging Network is available to all Mustang Mach-E GT users for five years without a base fee for charging processes.
Standard equipment includes the intelligent adaptive cruise control with lane-keeping and traffic jam assist with stop & go function, the blind spot monitor, the active park assist with ingress and egress functionality and partially automated vehicle guidance, as well as the pre-collision assist with emergency braking and cross-traffic alert system.
