Fisker: First Ocean Prototype in Body-in-White
Henrik Fisker tweets a lot, but much of it shows little usable information. Now it seems that the next step has been achieved for the Ocean: they are assembling the first prototypes from pressed parts. These must be “pre”-series parts of the electric SUV that are being pressed, meaning that the tool making must be completed and Fisker can now begin assembling pre-series models for testing purposes. These can then be used for real crash tests and various tuning as well as heat and cold tests under real conditions.
What does that mean?
Henrik Fisker is among those who tweet daily – but this time he finally delivered some tangible, usable material. Because if the "Ocean" is to go into series production as planned by 2023 at the latest, the first drivable prototypes or pre-production models need to be created now. And not just as a one-off, but in dozens of versions. After all, the tools for this seem to be ready.
