Farizon Auto: Supervan should deliver better

The commercial vehicle subsidiary of the Chinese Geely Group, Farizon Auto, has now officially unveiled its Supervan model following various announcements. The electrically driven transporter is based on the Drive-by-Wire architecture GXA-M. This involves converting mechanical connections such as brakes and steering into signal interactions. The modular design is intended to enable the decoupling of the body and chassis, allowing for free adjustments of wheelbase, front and rear suspension as well as the flexible combination of drive, brakes, suspension, and steering depending on the application. For instance, the E-Van was used as a livestream vehicle during the 19th Asian Games to ensure seamless live broadcasting of the events.

Applications from Delivery Service to Ride-Hailing

Furthermore, there are numerous other applications envisioned, such as unmanned intelligent warehouses, as mother ships for delivery robots, as motorhomes, customized ride-hailing vehicles, or for urban logistics. The battery technology supports multiple power supply systems, including battery swapping and methanol range extenders, to ensure versatility in various scenarios, as advertised. The use of flat, non-modular traction batteries is not only aimed at maximizing cabin space but also improves battery safety and ensures a comfortable driving experience. Additionally, the vehicle can deliver a maximum output of 10 kW at 220V AC to external consumers.
