Evonik relies on bio-LNG trucks

Evonik Industries AG and a number of logistics companies aim to increasingly use trucks powered by climate-friendly biogas in freight transport to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This is to be achieved through enhanced collaboration with logistics firms that operate gas-powered trucks. Evonik's logistics procurement department intends to preferentially consider companies that make a positive contribution to the company's sustainability goals for future contracts and long-term transport agreements.

 "Proactive resource management is an important element of our sustainability strategy. We have set ambitious climate targets and have continuously reduced our CO2 emissions in recent years. At the same time, our products and solutions help customers significantly save CO2 emissions in their applications. Evonik not only talks about sustainability and climate protection but also provides practical solutions for it," says Stefan Haver, Head of Sustainability at Evonik.
