Cargo Academy: Where the Journey on the Cargo Bike is Heading

Especially on Thursday, the Cargo Academy could become exciting for professional users. A series of expert panels will start again, covering topics such as market data, standards & regulations, purchase incentives, subscription/sharing/rental, service & repair costs, and pioneers in the industry. An important topic: Higher weights, child transport, and commercial use impose high technical demands on cargo bikes. What trends exist in legislation here? Are purchase incentives needed? Or is the cargo bike particularly ideal for sharing and rental systems? The session will once again be moderated by Arne Behrensen (Zukunft Fahrrad e.V.).

Premiere: Cargo Bikes Allowed to Use Supplier Entrance

For the first time at a trade fair in Frankfurt, cargo bikes will be allowed to use the supplier entrance, putting them on par with transporters—a "hard-won success of the Eurobike team," as it is described. Finally, the world's leading bicycle industry trade fair can be supplied by bicycle. However, the access for cargo bikes currently only applies to Eurobike and not to other trade fairs in Frankfurt. For example, the Automechanika Frankfurt and the Frankfurt Book Fair still have a ban on cargo bike access to the supplier entrance.
