Eurobike 2024: Aximo and FIT present ultra-quiet e-bike drive system
Aximo is launching its ultra-quiet e-bike drive system. The product and system supplier for micromobility at the Hirschvogel Group relies on system integration with FIT, the Swiss brand from Biketec GmbH. They will present it at Eurobike 2024 from July 3 to 7 in Frankfurt am Main at a shared booth B16 in hall 12.0.
Smooth running and noiseless power delivery
The heart of the drive system is the DD60 hub motor in direct-drive design. It operates without gears, has a smooth running and, according to the manufacturer, noiseless power delivery. A virtually silent freewheel completes the silent riding experience, says Aximo.
5 kg weight
The maintenance-free hub motor features a torque of 60 Nm at around 5 kg weight and is available in both Pedelec and S-Pedelec versions. An integrated, high-resolution sensor system for torque and cadence measurement ensures a direct response from the drive and enables harmonious tuning. The highly efficient magnetic circuit of the motor provides matching driving performance and range, which can be further increased through the possibility of energy recovery. Straight-pull spokes and a Boost standard installation width with a 12mm thru-axle allow for the construction of highly durable wheels. The drive system is manufactured in southern Germany.
The system is completed with FIT’s coordinated hardware and software. It will be available with a wide range of cockpit solutions, smartphone connectivity, battery versions ranging from 550 to 1,000 Wh, and several charger options.
"Together with FIT, we offer a powerful, versatile drive system for trekking bikes, S-Pedelecs, and cargo bikes. It opens up entirely new possibilities for bicycle manufacturers," says Michael Schleich, Vice President Corporate Development at Hirschvogel Group and responsible for Aximo.
First Customer: Konrad Bikes
The first customer is the young brand Konrad Bikes from Höxter, known for innovative and sustainable high-quality and individual E-bikes. At the trade fair, the company presents a new trekking bike that stands out with its design, its laser-welded frame made in Europe, and the Aximo DD60. Test rides are possible at the Konrad Bikes booth in the outdoor area (F12-J06).
