The network in the north is expanding further with locations in Bispingen and Lauenau. 16 HPC charging points are available.

The Baden-Württemberg-based energy provider EnBW has also expanded its HPC network in northern Germany and opened a fast-charging park on the A7 between Hanover and Hamburg near Bispingen. The location offers 16 HPC charging points (High Power Charging) with up to 300 kilowatts of charging power. This is intended to provide up to 400 kilometers of range in the battery in 20 minutes, depending on the vehicle charger.

"The charging park is designed so that we can respond to the growing ramp-up of electric cars at any time: We can expand the charging park to up to 40 charging points," adds Timo Sillober, Chief Sales and Operations Officer at EnBW, who is also responsible for electromobility.

The charging points in Bispingen are, as usual with the provider, covered with a photovoltaic system, which serves as weather protection and for electricity generation. The location is also attractive due to its proximity to the "Crazy House," a museum for travelers with children. This further densifies the fast-charging infrastructure in Lower Saxony and throughout Germany. In just a few weeks, another EnBW fast-charging park in Lower Saxony will be put into operation near Lauenau on the A2. According to Sillober, the two charging parks are important hubs on the long-distance traffic routes A2 and A7 in Lower Saxony. Two locations in Saxony, Zwickau and Meerane, will soon be operational, and recently, further gaps in the HPC network in Bavaria were closed with Erkheim and Erlangen. At the end of 2021, the company put one of the largest fast-charging parks in Europe into operation at the Kamener Kreuz.
