The Baden-Württemberg-based energy provider EnBW continues to push forward and has now opened a fast charging park in Eisenberg near Petersberg, about 70 kilometers south of Leipzig. The location offers twelve fast charging points where electric cars can charge with a power of up to 300 kilowatts, meaning they can gain a range of up to 400 kilometers in twenty minutes.

"Like all major locations, Petersberg is also covered with a photovoltaic system. This protects users from the weather on the one hand, and at the same time, we can generate some of the energy needed to operate the charging park directly on-site," explains Timo Sillober, Chief Sales & Operations Officer at EnBW, who is responsible for expanding the fast charging network.

By allowing the option to park sideways while charging, E-trailers can also charge at the location, promotes the provider further. The site's capacity can potentially be increased to 24 fast charging points. As usual, 100 percent green electricity is supplied to electric cars in Petersberg. In the fast charging network, large locations like Petersberg are strategic hubs that make e-mobility feasible for long-distance travel. Recently, two fast charging parks were opened in Erlangen and Erkheim near Memmingen in Bavaria. With the construction in Bad Kissingen-Oerlenbach and Herleshausen already underway, two other locations are planned. Soon, two additional covered fast charging parks in Zwickau and Meerane in Saxony will go online.
