Ebusco has signed another contract with Nobina. The largest public transport company in Scandinavia will purchase 22 units of type 2.2 and the associated charging infrastructure for the Greater Copenhagen area. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2022. The vehicles are expected to each be on the road for over 110,000 km per year, which is anticipated to lead to an emissions reduction of more than 22 million kg of CO2 and 37,000 kg of NOx over the contract period.

Fourth Order from Nobina

The Dutch e-bus manufacturer has been active in the Danish market since March 2021 when the first order with Nobina was signed. This now fourth order deepens the collaboration between the two companies. Along with the previous contracts, Nobina has ordered a total of 79 Ebusco 2.2 units, 13 of which for the Greater Copenhagen area are to be delivered shortly. The 29 units for the Kolding region – with Sydtrafik as the responsible PTA – are currently in production. Additionally, Nobina has ordered 15 e-buses, also of type 2.2, for Roskilde and Frederikssund.

We are proud that Movia, as the responsible public transport authority, has chosen the Nobina-Ebusco combination for the third time. (CEO Peter Bijvelds)

TCO and Environmental Friendliness

The low TCO in combination with the low emissions over the entire lifespan of the bus were important considerations for Nobina to choose Ebusco again, according to the Dutch company. They also take on the full maintenance of the vehicles, providing a comprehensive MaaS (Mobility as a Service) solution. Ebusco's dual chargers, with just one charger for two buses, offer both flexibility and a cost advantage. Additionally, thanks to intelligent charging technology, the vehicles can be heated in the depot during charging, allowing the bus to use its full charging capacity for range. The battery pack has a capacity of more than 500 kWh, enabling a range of up to 500 km, according to Ebusco.

We are investing in new electric buses and want to convert our fleet to 100% buses powered by renewable energy. We challenge our suppliers to support us with innovative solutions. Ebusco's robust product and service portfolio fits perfectly with our aim to keep our climate and environmental footprint as small as possible. The fact that Ebusco's offering includes buses, chargers, and maintenance provides us with a single point of contact, minimizing our risks. (Jens Råsten, Fleet Manager at the Nobina Group)
