Ducati goes Bike: Sleek racing bicycle with pedal assistance
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducato is responding to the bicycle trend and has introduced its first road bike with electric pedal assistance in cooperation with Thok. The pedelec, named Futa, features a UD monocoque frame made of carbon and has a sporty geometry focused on aerodynamics and speed. The dropped seat stays are designed to make the bike, called E-Road, comfortable while also reducing air resistance. The Vision Metron 40 SL wheels are made of carbon and lead in terms of the weight-to-aerodynamics ratio, just like the highly aerodynamic Vision Metron carbon handlebars with integrated stem and cables. The Ducati Futa Limited Edition comes standard with the 250 Wh range extender and the Garmin Edge Explorer GPS bike computer with a special handlebar mount, offering specialized maps and functions for road cycling.
