DSV orders from Aral Pulse: Charging stations for company car fleet

DSV has recently brought e-charging stations from Aral pulse online at several locations. The company stated that this is a project that will encompass many more locations and charging stations. The charging stations are intended to support the infrastructure, especially the sustainable fleet of company cars consisting of electric or hybrid vehicles, at DSV branches.

To further develop the sustainable infrastructure at its own locations and make the company car fleet ready for longer distances, the Danish logistics company has ordered a total of 100 Aral pulse charging stations, according to its own information. This corresponds to a number of 200 charging points with 22 kW each for DSV locations throughout Germany, which are to be installed gradually by the end of 2023. “We want to make the use of environmentally friendly, electrically powered vehicles more attractive and increase the share of electric and hybrid cars as company vehicles. The e-charging infrastructure is a measure on our Green Logistics path.”

This is one of several projects the logistics company is working on in collaboration with Aral to support the decarbonization of logistics and mobility, it said. Belal Ata, Team Lead, Facility Management DACH at DSV:

“With this project, DSV takes into account the impact of its own vehicle fleet on the environment and aims to continuously reduce CO2 emissions.”

The logistics company has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

At the same time, the short-term sustainability goals by 2030 include a 50 percent reduction in direct own emissions and purchased energy carriers, as well as a 30 percent reduction in the area of indirect emissions from the value chain. To achieve the set sustainability goals, all new company cars in the DSV group must adhere to the maximum emission value specified for them.
