Daimler Truck: First Rizon-branded electric trucks delivered in California

Daimler Truck has delivered the first fully electric trucks of the Rizon brand to a customer in California. Further deliveries are expected to follow in the coming weeks. The battery-electric trucks of the e18L type with US classification 4 and 5 offer customers a wide range of applications.

20 e18L for Various Customers

A total of 20 e18L from Rizon Truck will be gradually delivered in the state of California. Seven flatbed trucks will go to the company LA Sanitation & Environment (Lasan). Goodwill Industries of San Diego County will take over one vehicle with a box body. Diamond Environmental will immediately deploy four units, and the company Ecorecycling will utilize three more with a box body. Lastly, Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing will receive five e18L with a box body for rental and leasing purposes in California.

For routes up to 250 km

The Rizon trucks offer solutions for urban transport and last-mile delivery with routes up to 160 miles (250 km) per day – with various configurations and "zero-emissions" certification. Rizon models are certified as emission-free by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resource Board (CARB) and fully comply with US vehicle safety standards, according to the manufacturer.
