The electrically driven compact car Dacia Spring is experiencing high demand at its launch, recording around 40,000 orders in the first eight months since reservations began in March. For the majority of customers, it is their first Dacia vehicle. The strong sales trend continues with around 5,000 orders per month since July. In the first three months alone, the Romanian Renault subsidiary registered more than 16,000 reservations for the vehicle adapted to European conditions from the Chinese Renault-Dongfeng cooperation model K-ZE.

"The Spring makes electromobility accessible to everyone and appeals to both customers who are already familiar with Dacia and new customers," explained Xavier Martinet, Director of Sales and Marketing at Dacia.

The vehicle combines purely electric drive with reliable technology and a good price-performance ratio. The range of up to 230 kilometers in the mixed WLTP cycle and 305 kilometers in the WLTP city mode also makes the compact electric vehicle suitable as a primary vehicle, focusing on the essentials. This concept resonates with customers. Both in cities and nearby regions as well as in rural areas, the Spring continues to attract new customers. In Germany, the Dacia Spring is the most affordable electric car on the market with a base price of 20,490 euros. With more than 7,200 orders so far, the market launch has been as successful as on the European level, emphasizes the German subsidiary. Additionally, a closed cargo version without a rear seat, aimed at cost- and environmentally-conscious delivery services and offering around 1.2 cubic meters of load volume, is planned to be available soon.
