Completely Made of Wood: Fastned Opens First Shop at Fast Charging Station

The Dutch fast-charging pioneer Fastned has simultaneously opened its first own unmanned and 24/7 open shop in Germany with competitors EnBW and Aral pulse. At the conveniently located fast-charging station in Dinslaken-Nord, North Rhine-Westphalia, between Oberhausen and Wesel, the aim is to enhance the quality of stay at the eight existing charging points with up to 400 kW charging power in close proximity to the A3. There is 24/7 access to barrier-free toilets as well as coffee and vending machines, accessible by verifying a debit or credit card.

“With the creation of our first own Fastned shop in Germany, we have ventured into completely new territory. This shop is just the beginning: Here, we were able to realize the nature-close approach of our Fastned DNA in design and layout. At further locations, we are working closely with partners to develop innovative concepts. For others, this may be just a small step – for us, it's a great leap forward,” advertises Linda Boll, Country Director Fastned Germany.

Typical: Modular Design and Resource-Saving Construction

To meet the ever-increasing demand for fast-charging stations, the site was planned with foresight and was expanded this year by four additional charging points, as well as the first own shop with its own seating options.
