The Stellantis subsidiary Citroën has kicked off the sale of the new ë-C3: The B-segment small car starts from 23,300 euros and is supposed to offer 300 kilometers of electric range with good equipment. The vehicle is produced in the Stellantis plant in Trnava, Slovakia. With the vehicle, the company states that it is facing the challenge as a European automobile manufacturer to make fully electric mobility accessible to everyone. The compact SUV offers a power of 84 kW/113 PS and is supposed to achieve a range of 300 kilometers with a 44 kWh battery. This corresponds to a consumption of 16.4 kWh/100 km in WLTP. The top version rolls out starting from 27,800 euros and is intended to represent a fully equipped car at an affordable price. Delivery will commence from early summer. An additional version should be available from 2025, offering a range of up to 200 km at a price starting from 19,990 euros.

“With the new Citroën ë-C3, we offer our customers a unique proposition: a well-equipped, European-developed and produced fully electric small car with a lot of comfort, 100 kW fast charging, and an absolutely sufficient range at an extremely affordable price,” promotes Citroën Germany head Thomas Goldboom.

The base model comes with good standard equipment, including electric exterior mirrors and power windows, automatic headlight activation, comfort suspension, rear parking aid, LED headlights, cruise control and speed limiter, air conditioning, smartphone station, Bluetooth hands-free system, active emergency braking assistant & lane keeping assistant, traffic sign recognition, attention assistant, stationary heater with pre-conditioning via app, and a 7.4 kW onboard charger.

The top version then features full equipment, such as 17-inch alloy wheels, comfort seats, parking assistance at the rear with a reversing camera, inductive smartphone charging, automatic climate control, MyCitroën Drive with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As an extra, in addition to the 100 kW DC charger, an 11 kW onboard charger is available, which allows standard AC charging from 20% to 80% in 2 hours 50 minutes instead of 4 hours. Furthermore, there's a winter package including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield. The four-meter long, 1.81 meter wide, and 1.57 meter high compact SUV has a 310-liter trunk and, for a BEV, a slim weight of 1.6 tons.
