Charging station and software manufacturer Juice Technology is now utilizing the services of Winterthur payment service provider Wallee to enable convenient payment by card and mobile payment methods at the charging station. The Juice Charger me 3 (11 kW wallbox, optionally 22 kW) with Wallee's terminal offers an alternative to charging networks. Charging power can be paid there with credit, debit, and bank cards, as well as with mobile payment methods like Twint, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This opens up additional revenue streams for commercial providers from various business sectors: gastronomy, hospitality, sports facilities, retail, real estate developers, and companies with corporate parking lots. They can all become professional providers of charging stations.

"Finally, you can pay for the charging power for your e-car very simply and cheaply with a credit or debit card or, for example, also with Twint. This eliminates the numerous charging cards, where up to four parties sometimes benefit and which have led to excessively high charging rates. The Swiss solution is easy to set up, cost-effective to operate, low-maintenance, and secure – and operators have full control over the demanded charging rates, which are transparently displayed on the screen," promises Christoph Erni, CEO and founder of Juice.

The system – Juice charging station with payment terminal from Wallee – is already in use in early projects, e.g., at the Graubünden mountain destination Laax or the "Riedmatt Center" shopping center in Rümlang.

Commercial Charging Station

The Juice Charger me 3 is fully networked and suitable for installations of any size. Its other advantages include easy connection via a flat cable, compatibility with all electric cars, and its flexible scalability.

Sascha Krüsi, CXO and co-founder of Wallee, is convinced: "As a partner originating from the canton of Zurich, just like Juice, we offer the optimal complement for Juice charging stations. With attractive conditions, quick billing, and payouts, we provide an ideal solution for commercial charging infrastructures. Operators have complete freedom in setting charging tariffs and electricity prices. Since fleet cards can also be integrated, providers can serve all user groups with a single solution."

What does this mean?

Thanks to the partnership with Wallee, customers benefit from advantageous transaction fees compared to competitors. The Winterthur payment service provider Wallee has already established itself in many areas of payment processing in Switzerland as a payment service provider. Juice's offer includes a comprehensive package consisting of charging station, payment terminal, backend, setup and onboarding, as well as training for smooth operation.

The goal of the cooperation between Juice and Wallee is to create a cost-effective and easily accessible infrastructure that is suitable for both small and large installations. Projects that combine the Wallee payment terminal with Juice charging stations are currently being privately funded.
