The light electric van manufacturer Cenntro Automotive Europe has introduced a liftgate version of its E-Transporter Logistar 200 for the European market. The vertical lift specially designed for the Logistar 200 offers a load capacity of 500 kg, making it particularly suitable for urban delivery and distribution traffic. The high-performance single-deck lift is equipped with a lightweight one-piece aluminum plate and is operated by a hydraulic cylinder that electrically raises and lowers the platform using chains and pulleys. For maximum efficiency, the 1,600 mm aluminum platform opens and closes smoothly and energy-efficiently manually. A 900 mm wide side door in the middle provides additional loading or unloading options for the 8.77 m³ cargo box (internal dimensions L x W x H: 2537 x 1729 x 2000 mm).

The box is fully recyclable

The cargo box is made entirely of 100 percent recyclable thermoplastic composite materials and is ultra-lightweight, aiming to achieve high payload and range. The walls of the cargo box, specially developed for the US manufacturer, are made of 20 mm thick high-resistance composite material, while the front wall and roof have a thickness of 25 mm. The lightweight floor is self-supporting, made of 30 mm recyclable composite material, and has a non-slip coating. The control unit is mounted watertight on the outside of the vehicle frame, and a remote control with a spiral cable is magnetically attached inside the structure. Additionally, the cargo box is equipped with strong LED interior lighting, roll stops, platform lighting, and a third brake light.

Electric light truck with a payload of one ton

The Logistar 200 measures 4.77 m in length and 1.64 m in width in the chassis version, offering more compact dimensions than conventional vans and transporters, which benefits maneuverability in the city. With a maximum payload of 1,045 kg, the E-Transporter achieves a range between 188 and 264 km (WLTP combined/City). The new structure with the vertical lift now allows for the easy transport of roll containers or Euro pallets for piece goods transport on the last mile. Simultaneously, the liftgate facilitates distribution to cargo bikes such as the Antric One. The new "Logistar 200 cargo box with lift" can accommodate six roll containers, which can equip three Antric Ones, further optimizing sustainable delivery on the very last mile.

Perfect interplay: E-Van and E-Cargobike

The van in the new lift version and the electric cargo bike from Antric perfectly complement each other for use in urban distribution centers. Both the Logistar 200 and the Metro N1-13 can still be delivered in 2022, promises the supplier. For the environmental bonus, this year still sees funding totaling 9,000 EUR. The environmental bonus currently consists of two-thirds (6,000 EUR) from the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) and one-third of the premium granted by Cenntro Automotive Europe GmbH.
