BYD Dolphin receives Autobest Award

The BYD Dolphin was voted "Best Buy Car of Europe 2024" by Autobest. The all-electric hatchback won the vote from a jury of 31 journalists from 31 European countries with 20,057 points, outperforming three other finalists. This marks the first time BYD has received the Autobest Award. The Chinese model impressed not only with its comfort and quality but also with its spacious interior within the vehicle's compact dimensions. The affordable price, coupled with long warranty periods, low mileage costs, extensive standard equipment, dynamic driving behavior, and successful technical solutions of the BYD e-platform 3.0 also appealed to the jury. They concluded, "The BYD Dolphin is unbeatable in terms of price, quality, and range."

Appealing Space and Comfort

The Dolphin was recently awarded the highest rating of five stars by the safety organization Euro NCAP. With a length of 4,290 mm and a width of 2,012 mm with the mirrors folded out, it has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, which, thanks to the e-platform 3.0 and the short overhangs at the front and rear, provides an appealing space and comfort. The vehicle offers space for five occupants and a 345-liter trunk, which can be expanded to a full 1,310 liters when the seats are folded down. The vehicle features a 60.4 kWh LFP Blade Battery, providing a range of 427 km according to WLTP (combined).
