BYD Atto 3: From 199 euros gross in private leasing
The high-price hype for electric cars is over – and many manufacturers are now very capable of delivering again! This includes, of course, those from China, which were known to enter the EU market at very high prices. However, rising interest rates and living costs have spoiled the leasing deals with installments beyond 300 euros for many private customers, necessitating adjustments now.
Now, Hedin Electric Mobility, the German distributor for the electric vehicle manufacturer BYD, is also following the trend by offering a model for under 200 euros per month: They are reducing the private customer leasing rates for the Atto 3 to 199 euros per month. Here too, like with Great Wall Motors and the Funky Cat, the leasing company Santander Consumer Leasing is behind this.
Also for the Atto 3, the term is 24 months and, as here, unfortunately covers only a mileage of 5,000 km per year. And: At the beginning, a special payment of 5,635.43 euros is due. Transfer and registration costs are excluded from this.
What does that mean?
Good times for private customers: Electric vehicles are currently becoming significantly more affordable. The only catch with many offers: 5,000 km mileage per year is not much and a down payment of around 5,000 euros is usually required. Many would rather buy a reasonably decent small used car with that! Either way: The nearly 40,000 euros that many Chinese manufacturers still like to call for their entry-level models is simply too much for many private individuals and company policies in Germany.
