billiger-mietwagen cooperates with wheego for 1,000 sharing vehicles

The leading car rental platform billiger-mietwagen.de and the new car rental and car sharing provider wheego have entered into a cooperation. This allows billiger-mietwagen.de to use various car sharing and rental car providers through just one app. The collaboration with MILES, the largest independent car sharing provider in Germany, already started last year. Through the new partnership, up to 1,000 wheego vehicles in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, and Duisburg will expand the portfolio for contactless rental in free-floating mode by the end of April. These can be booked via the billiger-mietwagen.de app on all Android and iOS devices. In total, there are now nearly 10,000 car sharing vehicles in eight cities centrally bookable across Germany, significantly simplifying the booking and selection process for all customers.

"Through the cooperation with wheego, we can significantly expand our offer and consolidate even more car sharing options in one place. Our goal is for customers to need fewer and fewer apps in the future to use vehicles from various providers," explains Sven Ahrens, Managing Director of billiger-mietwagen.de.

Hubert Terstappen, Managing Director of wheego, adds that they want to make it easier to get a car when needed, whether it's for a minute or a lifetime.
