Strong growth impetus in the field of electromobility – with a long-term perspective: Technotrans secures a major order from a renowned European electric bus manufacturer for the series production of battery thermal management systems (BTMS) in the high single-digit million-euro range.

Mobile Solution for New E-Bus Series

The mobile solution is being used in several new E-bus series. Technotrans has been involved as a technology partner from the beginning and supplies a total of three production sites in France and the Czech Republic. The aim of the thermal management specialist is to further strengthen the cooperation as a long-term supplier.

One of the Largest Orders for Road Vehicles So Far

“With our BTMS for modern electric buses, we have developed a competitive series product for road transport,” says Michael Finger, CEO of Technotrans SE.

“This underscores our ability to deliver innovative and qualified solutions within a short period of time, thereby meeting the high demands of this market.”

The project is one of the largest orders for Technotrans in the road vehicle business to date. Production and delivery will take place as early as 2024.

Partnership-based Collaboration Brought Success

The collaboration began with the development and qualification of the prototype. In close and partnership-based exchanges between both engineering departments, the thermal management specialist developed a BTMS precisely tailored to the E-bus series. The Technotrans systems ensure the operational safety of the vehicles by cooling the battery and operate particularly energy-efficiently. Speed-controlled components sustainably reduce the CO2 footprint.

"With this successful collaboration, we once again demonstrate our expertise in the field of e-mobility. Technotrans has the engineering and production capacities to make a significant long-term contribution to the decarbonization of transportation together with our customer. At the same time, we are expanding our strong position in this dynamic future market and thereby generating sustainable growth," emphasizes Michael Finger.
