Ballard Power Systems will deliver around 1,000 of its modules to the Polish bus manufacturer Solaris by 2027. Approximately 80% of these will be in the form of 70 kW units for 12-meter solo buses and about 20% as 100 kW units for articulated buses. Deliveries will start this year and continue until the end of 2027. This order is the largest in the history of the Canadian fuel cell pioneer.
“To date, we have delivered almost 200 hydrogen-powered buses, and for the next two years, we have over 500 more vehicles on order,” reported Solaris Chairman Javier Iriarte.
