Badenova creates fast-charging hub in the middle of Freiburg
Freiburg's first fast-charging park does not come from the Baden energy supplier EnBW, but from its fellow Baden competitor badenova. It was built on the important four-lane thoroughfare B 31 and offers six fast-charging points where up to 400 kW of charging power can be used. Additionally, there are nine charging points where one can slowly charge with alternating current at 22 kW. The charging stations in Freiburg are from the Austrian company EnerCharge. Payment with debit or credit cards is also supposed to be possible at these stations. To set up the location, badenova collaborated with Green Power Mobility from Nordhausen in Thuringia to create Ladepark Südbaden GmbH & Co. KG. The stations are partially covered and equipped with solar modules. The fast-charging park is on municipal land and offers a break at the nearby Dreisam.
