Athlon cooperates with Juice

The installation of wall boxes for company and fleet vehicles remains a stumbling block in the electrification of fleets. Mobile charging stations could be a solution here. Athlon addresses the needs of customers who cannot install fixed wall boxes in the private homes of all employees who drive electric vehicles with its new offering that includes the Juice Booster 2. Through its cooperation with Juice, Athlon offers a safe, affordable, and flexible charging option for all electric vehicles and nearly all residential and operational situations: The Juice Booster 2 is a mobile 22-kW charging station that can be used worldwide at any conventional household and industrial socket thanks to the integrated adapter technology. The fleet set, specially provided for Athlon, includes a Schuko adapter for household sockets, a CEE16 plug (three-phase) for industrial sockets, and the Type 2 adapter for using the Juice Booster at public charging stations.

What does this mean?

It remains to be seen to what extent mobile charging stations will conquer the fleet market. They have the huge advantage of not requiring complex installation and can be used anywhere – even in the field – provided those being visited allow access to their sockets. The topic becomes even more exciting if the mobile charging devices can be fully integrated into the mobility managers' billing systems.
