Arthur Bus and Wolftank offer on-site H2 refueling
The Austrian Wolftank Group, specialized in technologies for energy and environmental solutions, has signed an agreement with the Bavarian hydrogen bus manufacturer Arthur Bus from Planegg near Munich for the further development and delivery of mobile hydrogen tank containers.
The Arthur H2-Bus was presented for the first time last year at the Bus2Bus in Berlin. According to the company, it has a range of over 450 km and consumes less than 6 kg of hydrogen per 100 km. The operating costs are expected to be cheaper than comparable models due to the holistic energy concept.
Solving tank infrastructure problems in a package
The current lack of hydrogen refueling infrastructure poses a major challenge for public transport operators when switching to emission-free vehicles, according to the accompanying press release.
“Especially in the area of public transport, there is still a need for competitive solutions... With our new combined offer of hydrogen bus and refueling solution, we aim to achieve exactly that. We are the first manufacturer to ensure that our buses are ready for immediate use, allowing our customers to focus on their core business,” says Philipp Glonner, co-founder and managing director of Arthur Bus.
Therefore, the joint strategy includes a package offer that incorporates a refueling solution when purchasing an H2-Bus.
“Especially for the rapid expansion of sustainable mobility, it is crucial to offer cost-effective and ready-to-use refueling options today. Combining this with the sale of vehicles is a straightforward way to meet the demand where it arises. We are pleased that Arthur Bus has decided to pioneer a joint solution in this area,” explains Peter Werth, CEO of the Wolftank Group.
The cooperation is another step towards actively contributing to the establishment of infrastructure for emission-free mobility worldwide.
