Ari Motors from Borna near Leipzig has expanded its portfolio of electric commercial vehicles and is venturing into the higher class of large transporters for the first time. With the 1710, a 12-cubic meter van is being launched as a 3.5 and 4.25-tonner, which comes in two battery sizes with capacities of 79 and 101 kWh, offering between 630 and 725 and 1,385 and 1,475 kilos of payload. The environmentally friendly LFP batteries are installed underfloor without affecting the cargo space and can be recharged via a DC charger in 45 minutes. In AC, the charging process takes eight hours with the charging port positioned on the driver's side at the B-pillar. According to the manufacturer, the range is 293 kilometers with the smaller battery and 415 kilometers with the larger one. A powerful 115-kW electric motor provides propulsion, but the top speed is still limited to 100 km/h.

The cargo area is accessible via a side, though not roof-high, sliding door and two rear portals. It features a very low loading edge of 54 centimeters, which is quite low for an E-van, and can be optionally equipped with various floors, side wood paneling, lashing rails, and LED lights. Grab handles facilitate entry. Optional extras include a comfort package with air conditioning and power steering (390 euros), a seat heater (255 euros), an assistance package with Mobileye system (990 euros), an 11 kW wallbox (890 euros), and an acoustic environment protection (45 euros). Additionally, there is a cooling system for driving and stationary cooling (6,680 euros). The electric van starts as a 3.5-tonner at 44,990 euros, the 4.25-tonner costs 48,990 euros, and the larger battery is priced at 4,990 euros.
