Ari 902: Budget electric small car from Saxony for all occasions

The Leipzig-based light electric vehicle specialist Ari Motors has introduced its new L7e two-seater 902, targeting both private and commercial customers. The E-Mini is available in two versions, as a passenger car or a closed cargo vehicle, with three battery capacities of 9.5, 10, or 18 kWh. These options are expected to deliver ranges of 110, 140, and 200 kilometers, corresponding to a combined consumption of 9.4 kWh/100 km. The larger lithium-ion batteries cost an additional 990 or 1,970 euros respectively, on top of the base list price of 13,990 euros. An optional solar panel for the roof, available for 1,490 euros, can further extend the range. The light electric vehicle, which can reach speeds of up to 90 km/h thanks to a 15 kW AC electric motor, charges at a household outlet in about three hours. The front-wheel-drive electric mini, featuring McPherson independent suspension at both the front and rear, has a payload of 190 kilograms and an empty weight of approximately 743 kilograms for the passenger car version. The cargo area measures up to 85x122x80 centimeters in LengthxWidthxHeight, with an official trunk volume of 766 liters. Standard features include a loading floor and tie-down loops. Braking is handled by disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, with adult-sized 14-inch wheels. The turning circle is limited to 7.9 meters.

The basic equipment of the 2.95 meter long, 1.49 meter narrow, but relatively stately 1.52 meter high electric vehicle includes electric windows, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), hill start assist, central locking with remote control, a rearview camera, and LED daytime running lights. Optional features include air conditioning, power steering, front and rear bumper protection, fog lights, a glass sunroof, a Mobileye collision avoidance driver assistance system, a full-size spare wheel, winter tires, a cargo partition, or a roof rack. Additionally, a 1.8 kW power outlet for external consumers is available. There is even a trailer hitch with a towing capacity of up to 350 kilograms, with a support load of 75 kilograms. Four colors are available. In terms of cost, the Ari 902 is expected to travel 100 kilometers for 2.80 euros, assuming an electricity price of 34 cents per kWh. In terms of warranty, the standard coverage is two years or a generous 100,000 kilometers for both the vehicle and the battery, which can optionally be extended to four years and an additional 60,000 kilometers. A maintenance package, including wear parts, costs 749 euros.
