Amperfied: New Wallboxes for Commercial Customers
In the second quarter of 2023, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG plans to launch the "Amperfied Wallbox connect.business," a wall charging station primarily designed for commercial customers. Its subsidiary Amperfied, whose name is featured in the Wallbox, has integrated an energy meter into the Wallbox that accurately measures the charged energy in kilowatt-hours and complies with the EU Measuring Instruments Directive. In combination with driver or vehicle authentication via RFID technology, a business owner can assign consumption to individual vehicles or their drivers.
The new Wallbox charges at 11 kW. On its homepage, the manufacturer points out that this reduces installation and approval efforts compared to charging at 22 kW, thus charging the battery more gently. In any case, most electric cars can only charge at 11 kW on AC Wallboxes.
Through a cooperation with the partner company Flotteladen GmbH, Amperfied also offers software for managing charging data and load management for simultaneous charging of multiple vehicles (as reported by taxi today). Everything can be viewed via an app or through the web interface. The new solution will be presented at a fleet trade fair at the end of March in Düsseldorf.
