Alpine: Electric GT X-Over coming from Dieppe starting in 2025

For a long time, the future of the production facility hung by a thread: now the first Alpine electric vehicle will be assembled there, and in this context, it has also been honorably renamed to "Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé." Jean Rédélé was the founder of Alpine in 1955. Born in 1922, Rédélé started producing his own sports models under the Alpine name based on Renaults in 1955, laying the foundation for a legend. Alpine sports cars have been produced in the Dieppe plant since 1974. The new plant name is also intended to express the site's expertise and high-quality standards.

Three new EVs by 2026

By 2026, Alpine will introduce three new, fully electric models – a sports car as a successor to the current A110, a new compact model (likely based on the electric Renault 5), and the GT X-Over. It will be built on the CMF-EV platform, which is specifically designed for electric vehicles by the alliance. Renault CEO Luca de Meo commented on this:

"In the last twelve months, Alpine has developed a new dynamism. This is particularly evident in Dieppe, where the future GT X-Over will be built. This gives the historic industrial site a clear perspective for the future."

This is emphasized by Renault through extensive investments at the Dieppe site, which also includes the establishment of completely new facilities.

What does this mean?

Relief in Dieppe: For a long time, the future of the small plant was hanging by a thread, but now Luca de Meo seems to see a perspective: In addition to the A-110 successor, the electric CUV is also to be produced at the original Alpine site in Dieppe.
