Alpine A290: Now available to order from 38,700 euros

They managed to keep the weight in check: The electric A290 starts at 1,479 kilograms – quite light for an electric vehicle. The most powerful version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and generates a torque of 300 Nm. Thanks to the multi-link rear axle and hydraulic shock absorbers, the A290 is designed to offer a sporty driving feel while still providing high comfort for everyday use.

The exterior dimensions remain extremely compact: At a length of 3,990 millimeters, a width of 1,820 millimeters, a height of 1,520 millimeters, and a wheelbase of 2,530 millimeters, the compact sports car takes up very little road space. Nevertheless, the A290, with five doors and five seats, as well as a load volume of 326 liters, is a fully-fledged and practical companion.

Alpine Design with Sporty Heritage

The A290 features a unique light signature that is unmistakable from a distance. Like all Alpine models, it consists of four front headlights with a double-X motif as a homage to the taped lights of rally cars. The broad track gives the A290 the sporty Alpine look. Styling elements such as the front bumper and rear diffuser are reminiscent of the A110, from which it also inherits the Brembo 4-piston monobloc brake calipers at the front. The package is rounded off with a selection of large 19-inch wheels and the two-tone body with a black roof.

When it comes to colors, however, the range is limited to just four: Black-Pearl Black (standard), Alpine Vision Blue (the only true color), Dolomite Grey satin, and Pearl White. In the cockpit, they skillfully balanced cost and artistry: grained, coated fabric and blue fabric or a two-tone Nappa leather interior in Evee Grey/Deep Blue Nappa are available. Additionally, there is a two-tone dashboard with a backlit A290 logo and individually configurable ambient lighting.

The center console is also inspired by the design of the A110 and contains the controls for the transmission. The 3-spoke sports steering wheel with a flattened middle section is covered in Nappa leather and features sporty contrast stitching. Several Formula 1 inspired switches are included: the RCH rotary knob on the left stands for "Recharge" to select the strength of the recuperation stage. On the right side, different driving modes can be set, while the easily recognizable red OV button (for "Overtake") is positioned at the top.

The A290 is equipped with the latest generation of active and passive safety technologies and features up to 26 driver assistance systems that facilitate driving and parking maneuvers and protect the occupants.

A290 GT: Entry into the Alpine Universe from 38,700 Euros

The A290 GT already features the 52-kWh battery and delivers 130 kW/177 hp. Standard equipment includes Michelin Sport EV tires and 19-inch alloy wheels in Iconic design. The bidirectional 11-kW AC charger is designed for DC fast charging at 100 kW. The blue-themed interior is equipped with coated fabric. Accents include the Nappa leather-covered sport steering wheel and the French flag on the dashboard. Heated front seats, tinted windows, automatic climate control, and ambient lighting are also part of the standard equipment.

Moreover, the A290 GT offers a high level of connectivity and combines the Alpine Portal System with a high-resolution 10.1-inch screen. Google Maps GPS navigation with a route planner specifically optimized for electric vehicles is also standard, as is the Google Assistant voice assistant. A large number of apps are available in the Google Play catalog. The package also includes adaptive cruise control and a rearview camera.

A290 GT Premium: Style and Comfort from 41,700 Euros

With the same performance characteristics as the A290 GT, the A290 GT Premium stands out with even more equipment details. It is externally recognizable by its two-tone paint with a black roof, matte blue roofline, and Alpine Blue Brembo brake calipers on the front wheels.

At no extra cost, the Alpine Drive Sound and the specially developed Devialet hi-fi audio system are included. Nappa leather with Alpine stitching and monograms adds sophistication to the interior. The heated steering wheel, inductive smartphone charging surface, and automatically dimming rearview mirror further enhance onboard comfort.

A290 GT Performance: Power and Sportiness from 41,900 Euros

The A290 GT Performance, with the more powerful electric motor, delivers 160 kW/218 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The regulated top speed is 170 km/h. Visual features of the A290 GT Performance include Brembo Racing Red brake calipers at the front and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. Black chrome design elements set dynamic accents, along with the Alpine badge and the logo with the arrowed "A" at the front and electrically folding exterior mirrors.

The A290 GT Performance is equipped with the Alpine Telemetrics infotainment system, enabling performance monitoring, adjusting vehicle efficiency, and learning how to maximize the vehicle's potential through coaching and challenges inspired by the world of video games.
