Alphabet is increasingly becoming a provider of holistic mobility solutions. Accordingly, it also plans to further develop products and services in 2023, including the Alphabet E-Mobility solution and digital offerings. This approach is also confirmed by positive customer feedback: In the Dataforce “Leasing Study 2022,” Alphabet was awarded the best leasing provider. Uwe Hildinger, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Alphabet Fuhrparkmanagement GmbH, explains:

“This year, too, we have succeeded in supporting and accompanying many of our customers in the sustainable orientation of their fleets. We see three central pillars that must be considered: the integration of e-mobility, digital solutions, and flexible and individual concepts that precisely fit the needs of a company.”

Experience shows that many customers appreciate comprehensive advice when converting their fleets: Therefore, mobility should be made as simple as possible for customers. Accordingly, consulting services regarding e-mobility and CO2 optimizations were further expanded in 2022, and digital services were continuously improved.

Comprehensive support for the e-mobility transition

Alphabet has been supporting companies with the transition to e-mobility since 2013. On request, the full-service leasing provider accompanies the entire process of electrification, advises on the appropriate model strategy, the implementation of charging solutions, and the suitable e-car policy. Uwe Hildinger notes:

“The demand for e-mobility continues to grow steadily. This year, almost a quarter of all new orders were electric. Our customers appreciate personal support and the creation of individual concepts to best balance sustainability and profitability.”

Companies benefit from digitization of fleet management

Another important factor for efficient and sustainable fleet management is the digitization of individual processes and workflows. Uwe Hildinger:

“The digitization of our services remains a focal point. Therefore, we have further developed our solutions this year as well. Recently, our Alphabet App, which enables comprehensive self-services for company car drivers, was expanded to include the Smart Charging feature.”

This allows Alphabet drivers to find charging stations nearby and start and stop charging processes. The payment process can also be handled very easily via mobile phone.

In addition to its own app, Alphabet offers numerous other digital services such as an Alphabet Skill for Amazon Alexa, web-based fleet reporting, as well as its own vehicle configurator. Hildinger summarizes:

“Our goal is to best unify the needs of fleet managers and drivers to create efficiencies and make everyday mobility as simple as possible.”

Personal consultation remains important

According to Alphabet, the key to successful fleet management remains personal consultation. The company is represented nationwide in eight branches and can thus ensure individual support at all times. The success of this approach is also currently confirmed by market observers from Dataforce with the "Leasing Study 2022," which was conducted at the end of October: Alphabet once again ranked first among leasing providers. The opinions and experiences of several hundred fleet managers were evaluated, who attested the company top performances particularly in the areas of consultation, customer service, contract processing, and vehicle return. “We are very pleased with the positive feedback from the Dataforce study. The results confirm our approach and our performance claim. In 2023, we will also do everything we can to build on this and further develop our solutions accordingly,” says Uwe Hildinger.

What does that mean?

Reorganizing the fleet is a very complex task. Accordingly, mobility providers are positioning themselves broadly. The latest Dataforce study and our own experiences showed that Alphabet is close to the customer: Many customers have an extremely complex need for consultation, which is the be-all and end-all when reorganizing the fleet – and it is at the beginning of many transformations.
