ADAC emergency pass now also available for non-members

Since its introduction in January 2024, more than 33,000 ADAC members have already created their personal emergency passport for their smartphone. This allows rescue workers direct access to important patient information in medical emergencies.

Non-members only need to register

Effective immediately, this free offer is also available to all non-members. The only requirement is to register for an online account in the login area at adac.de. Here, important medical data such as medication, pregnancy, pre-existing conditions, and medication allergies can be stored, and the emergency pass, including QR code, can be downloaded.

Unlike, for example, the general emergency features pre-installed on smartphones, the ADAC emergency pass can be scanned and read by rescue teams already equipped with the necessary software.

If necessary, all relevant information can be directly transmitted into the system and to the treating clinic. All stored data is always secure and cannot fall into the wrong hands. They are encrypted in the QR code on the emergency pass and can only be read by rescue personnel.

Emergency Pass Developed with Doctors and Paramedics

Acute patients or accident victims are usually able to unlock their smartphones. For this purpose, the ADAC has developed the Emergency Pass with emergency doctors and paramedics from the non-profit ADAC Air Rescue. Together with its cooperation partner medDV, the German market leader for software solutions in the emergency services, it could be directly integrated into the software NIDAmobile used in emergency services and thereby into the majority of the rescue chain. This network is being gradually expanded.
